When it comes to installing your RiverPool®, the possibilities are endless. This page will give you an overview of specifications for your RiverPool® and a few other things to consider when thinking about where you want to install your RiverPool®.

Sub Categories

Before you step into your RiverPool® it will weigh 200 lbs. per square foot - or a total load of about 10 tons. Supporting that load requires a level pad of concrete at least 4 inches thick. For most in-home installations, that means you will place your RiverPool® in the basement, a grade-level space such as a sunroom, or the garage. In moderate climates, you could install it outdoors - on a patio, in a deck (resting on a concrete pad) or in-ground (also on a concrete pad).

Regardless where you install your RiverPool®, giving it the stability of a 4-inch concrete pad it critical to its success - and your enjoyment.

Three other factors are important when locating your RiverPool®

Indoor Considerations
Sunroom Installation
Basement Installation
Garage Installation
Outdoor Considerations
Yard Installation
Deck Installation
1) Access
2) Humidity
3) Equipment
ACCESS Back to the top

After your RiverPool® is installed, you'll need access to one or more sides for maintenance and in case of trouble; the number of side depends on the options you choose. Contact us to make sure you design proper access into your site. (Please callus if you have any questions: 309-797-9721.) For adequate clearance above your RiverPool®, any indoor installation requires a 7-foot ceiling height.

Protect the area around your RiverPool® both to ensure long life of your RiverPool®, and for safety. Because splashing is unavoidable, use floor, ceiling and wall materials that water won't damage.
HUMIDITY Back to the top

To control humidity, which is inevitable with an in-house pool, install an exhaust fan that vents to the outside, or place a high-volume dehumidifier in the same room.

When not using your RiverPool®, cover it with the floating insulating blanket - it controls nearly 100% of humidity. (An optional Retractable Security Cover is also available.)

EQUIPMENT Back to the top

To operate properly, your RiverPool® uses two kinds of equipment - the Water Quality System that filters, heats and sanitizes the water, and the Hydraulic Power Unit that generates the current you swim against. (If you chose to add the optional Hydrotherapy Jet Pack to your RiverPool®, you will need additional equipment space for the 1-hp pump that powers them.

You may want this equipment near your RiverPool®. All equipment needed to operate your RiverPool® can fit under the 2-foot wide deck. Or it can be located up to 50 feet away, in a utility room, basement, garage or protected structure.

Locating equipment a short distance from the RiverPool® can improve access - and decrease noise.

For any indoor installation, it's IMPORTANT to located both the RiverPool® and the water quality system near a floor drain, or sump pump.
